Description: This looks like the sort of pattern a man would want to wear; plain with all the effect achieved through the tweedy yarn. Bracken Tweed was an exceedingly nice yarn - I made my brother-in-law a plain roll neck when I was about 13 - you need to substitute something like Rowan Felted Tweed - but check your tension - as you can see, Bracken was a fairly dense DK whereas Rowan's is equally lovely but a lighter weight DK.
