Vintage Patterns: Elegant Man’s Cardigan

Please note:

Recent changes (a 70% increase) to the UK postage rates for printed papers sent outside the UK have meant that the price of a pattern for overseas buyers is now about 80% of the cost of the item. I can only apologise for this as I have simply transparently passed the increase on to the buyer. The only mitigation I can offer is to ensure a reduction of excess postage for multiple items shipped together.

Wool brand: Anti-tickle, Big Value, Ace of Diamonds Crepe
Yarn quantity: 7-11 (100g balls) plus 1 contrast
Sizes: to fit 38 - 44 inch chest (4 sizes)

Wool weight: Double knitting
Needle size: 3¼mm and 4mm
Tension (10cm): 43sts (presumably over pattern)

Description: Apart from the short style (which you can knit longer of course), and if you didn't already know very well, this was a classic 1980s styling, in colour and design - reminds me of the styles in the Gap when it first hit the UK. No less appealing for all that in my opinion though - very fresh and fun.
Sadly the pattern has the usual horizontal crease mark (not shown) but the instructions are clear.
