Seventies/Eighties Poncho and Shawl II

Yarn quantity: Poncho: 6 (50g) balls plus 3 each of two contrasts; Shawl: 5 balls plus 5 of one contrast
Sizes: Poncho: about 20 inches side seam to neck excluding fringes; shawl: 58½ inches along top excluding fringes

Wool weight: Aran/worsted
Needle size: 4mm and 3¼mm needles
or 7mm needle and 7mm hook

Description: Classic retro poncho and shawl design from the cusp of a new decade, where the popularity of ponchos had not diminished. The yarn was a shaded bouclé in a lovely colour range (which I was quite keen on at the time). Both items are knitted but the shawl has a crochet border.
