Vintage Patterns: Norwegian style - patterned yoke sweater

Please note:

Recent changes (a 70% increase) to the UK postage rates for printed papers sent outside the UK have meant that the price of a pattern for overseas buyers is now about 80% of the cost of the item. I can only apologise for this as I have simply transparently passed the increase on to the buyer. Norwegian style - patterned yoke sweater

Yarn quantity: 12-13 (50g balls) in main, plus 3 and 2 balls in each of two of contrast colours.
Sizes: 34-38 inch chest [2 sizes]; actual measurement 37-41 inches

Description: Sixties Norwegian styled sweater.
I'm a bit puzzled by the yarn weight of Emu "Fiord". This pattern seems to be from the 1960s and the yarn tension and needles imply it is definitely a double knitting weight. I have other patterns from the 1970s with a definite chunky tension. I can only think that Emu retained the brand name Fiord and used it in a later decade for a different yarn. (Ravelry seems to show the later yarn on the website).
