Please note:

Recent changes (a 70% increase) to the UK postage rates for printed papers sent outside the UK have meant that the price of a pattern for overseas buyers is now about 80% of the cost of the item. I can only apologise for this as I have simply transparently passed the increase on to the buyer. The only mitigation I can offer is to ensure a reduction of excess postage for multiple items shipped together.

Crochet Collars and Cuffs

Pattern ID: Twilleys 6588
Wool brand: Lyscordet, Lystwist, Galaxia 5
Yarn quantity: 1-3 (25g balls); 1 x 100g ball of Galaxia 5 will make all 3 sets.
Sizes: 2-4 inches deep

Wool weight: 3/4 ply equivalent cotton
Hook size: 1½mm, 2mm or 3½mm depending on design.
Tension (3cm): white: 6dc; pale blue: 8tr; natural: 8dc.
The pink design has a small motif which is 2cm.

Description: This was an idea from an earlier century and especially popular during WW2 to makeover existing clothes with minimal materials and at little expense; (also I believe the cotton you could use was "off the ration"). However, this pattern was printed in the 1980s, when such frilled collars and cuffs became quite fashionable again
