Description: Sixties suits: jumper, skirt and belt in a worsted or aran weight yarn called triple knitting (between a DK and a bulkier yarn); and striped sleeveless top in double knitting.
"Triple knitting" appeared in all the main manufacturers product lines in the 1960s; although more or less a worsted weight it did not seem to become popular enough to gain the traction in the UK to replace double knitting as the standard yarn. However, this yarn weight ("worsted") seems to be more the standard in America.
