Description: Textured sweater in a broken rib stitch - something akin to "railway stitch". The yarn is a worsted or aran weight called triple knitting (between a DK and a bulkier yarn).
"Triple knitting" appeared in all the main manufacturers product lines in the 1960s; although more or less a worsted weight it did not seem to become popular enough to gain the traction in the UK to replace double knitting as the standard yarn. However, this yarn weight ("worsted") seems to be more the standard in America.
