Description: They have used Jean Shrimpton to model this rather plain V-neck cardigan; she did appear in Patons Stitchcraft magazines in the early sixties, and it's easy to see how she soon became the world's most highly paid model - so strikingly lovely. All of the the impact of this design is achieved through the tweedy yarn. Bracken Tweed was an exceedingly nice yarn - you need to substitute something like Rowan Felted Tweed - but check your tension - as you can see, Bracken was a fairly dense DK whereas Rowan's is equally lovely but a lighter weight DK. |
